The Raptor Conservation Initiative (RCI) has been working closely with the Faja Lobi NGO for several years, a leading organization dedicated to reforestation, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable land use in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Our Joint Focus Areas and Projects
Establishment and Operation of Birds of Prey Rehabilitation Centers
Within the Faja Lobi project, we jointly establish safe rescue centers where injured or illegally traded birds of prey receive professional care. These centers also serve as launch points for reintroducing healthy animals into the wild.
Monitoring and Scientific Research
Using state-of-the-art methods and close collaboration with local experts, we regularly conduct population surveys, breeding site monitoring, and habitat assessments. The data collected feeds into conservation strategies, management plans, and educational programs.
Environmental Education and Community Involvement
